The bag holds it fine, but I am now having to reinforce the stitching on the bag. If they start making a Swiss Army bag that can hold the new gaming laptops, I will buy it and retire this bag.
Just be aware that the seams around the top will more than likely start coming apart. Right now, if you have a gaming machine, this particular bag is the only choice out there.
I bought this for my Toshiba gaming laptop. I had a XL Swiss Army bag for my last laptop, but it would not hold this particular unit.
This is the only bag after a lot of searching that will fit that particular laptop.
The seams are starting to separate after just four months of using it three days a week.
I have another laptop bag - a 15" Rack Gear bag, and that one is definately wider and fatter. I just purchased one of the new 18.4" widescreen Toshiba laptops, and I had a really hard time finding a backpack to fit this monster. Every other 17" bag I tried, the laptop stuck out the top. For those of you who are looking for a laptop/overnight bag and own one of the new monster Toshibas, this one is perfect.
It works perfect for a pair of shoes or other item you may want to keep separate from the contents inside the bag. The flap itself has numerous zippered pockets, perfect for smaller items (pens, flash drives, etc).It's not as solid and padded as my 15" Rack Gear or our 17" Swiss Gear laptop backpacks, but those companies offer "bulletproof" bags, and neither of them offer a bag large enough for the 18.4" laptops. It probably won't fit under the seat, but it'll definately fit in the overhead compartments on commercial airliners.Like others, I wasn't sure about the exposed pockets under the flap, but now after seeing it, it actually makes sense to me. As long as it's not overloaded, it should also make it through airport security without a problem.
When the bag arrived today, the first thing I did was slide the laptop in the sleeve, and then put it into the bag. It has plenty of room for a laptop, peripherals, a few books, even a change of clothes. I read the reviews here, and a few reviewers said that it would fit in this bag. This one is smaller in every dimension except height.
The bag seems solidly built, and to me, it doesn't seem too big. So I gambled and ordered this one.I'm worried about protecting the screen, so while I was at a local computer retailer, I found an 18" Case Logic sleeve that fits this laptop like a glove. The 18.4" Toshiba laptop fits in the bag with the sleeve on - but just barely.
He carries his 17 inches laptop in it and still has plenty of room for more stuff. It's really big but looks awesome. I bought it for a friend of mine and he really likes it.
This is the bext laptop bag that I have ever had, there is an abundance of room and it is extremely comfortable
Roomy enough for my accessories and a few files. I especially like the molded handle which gives a good secure grip that doesn't strain your hands.I've had this bag for about 3 months now and am very pleased. The zippers don't zip as quickly as I'd like, but otherwise it's a perfect bag for me. I searched long and hard for a lightweight bag which would accomodate a 17" Dell laptop. Keeps me from having to carry the laptop plus a briefcase. So many of the bags that will accomodate this size laptop weigh over 5 lbs, and when added to the weight of the laptop, charger, etc. I am very small framed and carry this laptop literally every day between work, home and client's offices. is too heavy for me.
